Research Interests

My pronouns are she/her.

I am broadly interested in the ecology and evolution of host-microbe interactions, and my MBiol research focusses on the dynamics of the gut microbiome in wild mice. Gut microbiota can vary hugely between and within hosts; however, most of our knowledge on animal microbiomes is based on cross-sectional samples and reported in terms of relative taxon abundance. This constitutes a limited view of the drivers of microbiome variation in natural settings. My project addresses this problem by quantifying in absolute terms the within-host temporal dynamics of the gut microbiome in an intensively sampled population of wood mice.

I am a Jardine Foundation Scholar.
