Research Interests

My pronouns are he/him

My main interests are in the molecular mechanisms underlying the ageing process, and especially how these can be manipulated to increase healthspan and lifespan. For my Master’s project, I am investigating the interactions between three interventions – nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), metformin, and caloric restriction – that have previously been shown to extend lifespan. I am also particularly interested in cellular reprogramming, and how this could be developed for safe use in vivo to restore cells to a more youthful state. To this end, I will be pursuing a computationally focused PhD on cellular reprogramming from October 2023.
